La \u201cmicrohand\u201d es tan min\u00fasculo que cuando est\u00e1 apretado en un pu\u00f1o mide un poco mas de un mil\u00edmetro, y abierta  es del porte de una moneda de diez centavos. La peque\u00f1a mano esta hecha con &#8220;huesos&#8221; de silicona y globos de silicio para los empalmes o nudillos que se inflan y desinflan para accionar los dedos.<\/p>\n<p>La mano robot fue dise\u00f1ada por Microelectromechanical systems scientist,  el cient\u00edfico Yen-Wen Lu,  la Rutgers University de Piscataway New Jersey, y el ingeniero industrial Chang-Jin Kim de UCLA.
