Piklab: IDE for PICs and dsPICs

Writte by robots.net the 20/01/2007

How many robot builders have used PICs at one time or another? Looking
for easier way to develop software for them? There was a Freshmeat
annoucement
today for a PIC and dsPIC Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that
supports compiling and linking with a wide range of PIC tool
chains. Depending on the tool chain used, there’s a of growing lists of
supported devices as well. The IDE, called Piklab, is currently a beta
release but the feature list looks very promising. Piklab is Free
Software licensed under the GNU GPL.
Among other goals, Piklab is
intended to be a free (as in speech) replacement for the
proprietary MPLAB IDE.
