The market is already oversaturated with iPod Docks that keep releasing week after week. But this one sounds a bit different. Japanese manufacturer’ ZMP’s Miuro is the first Ipod Dock that will actually follow you around the house with its wheels. The name ‘Miuro’ stands for music innovation based on utility robot technology. Miuro is a 14-inch wide, egg-shaped device that can either pump tunes from your docked ‘Pod or wirelessly from a PC through its Kenwood-built speakers. It responds to your commands via the included remote control, and can gain a little more autonomy with the addition of optional cameras and sensors.
It weighs 9 pounds and is available in white, black, yellow and red color. The Miuro will cost $930 and it goes on sale in Japan today. It is expected to be released to the whole world in the second half of 2007.
